So I'm perpetually on a seasonal quest for a chic black suede bootie to wear with skirts and dresses. I usually avoid the Nine West brand in general because they're typically not "quite" what I'm looking for -- namely, they don't look as well-made as I'd like and the heel isn't as high as it should be in order to achieve that polished, sophisticated look (v. the safe or even "dowdy" vibe, if you know what I mean). Well, these looked fab online, and they look fab in person but I have to concur with the other reviewers in that they: 1) run at least a 1/2 to a full size too large (I sent one pair back for a 1/2 size down and they still flop on my foot); and 2) feel "heavy" on the foot, which I think is not so much a function of the size as that the foot opening isn't tapered enough to "hug" the ankle area -- hence, they slop up and down and appear to be larger than they really are. Also, when will Nine West and other midline shoe designers realize that a leather lining/footbed is so much more comfortable/luxurious than vinyl, and will make women want to buy and live in their shoes 24/7? Every time I try a shoe with a vinyl lining, I feel like I've created "footswamps" by the end of the day -- gross. Anyway, these look great, feel yucky. And run big. If none of these factors concerns you, the look is well worth the money.

I bought these in a fawn leather color at Macys on sale. I love them. I wear them with jean type slacks for work on Fridays. They appear higher than they are but still are a bit high for me to walk all day in, but I do not do a lot of walking when at work. I like them a lot.

I can't really speak to the personal comfort of these as I purchased them for a drag costume, but the squeals and sighs as they came out of the box testify to the fabulousness of this product. Nice quality, 6'2 performer reported a nice balance even on concrete.

Snap these babies up if you can. I agree they run about a half size big. They are high but the front platform makes them very stable and wearable. I can't wait to wear these to Vegas.

These are awesome! I ordered the black suede pair and I'm in love. I am a true size 7 and after reading the reviews I decided to order a half size smaller. It's good thing that I did because these definitely run a half size too big. They are a heavy shoe but they are also the most comfortable heels I own. I love everything about them!

Awesome boots. A little thin but not terrible. Maybe my feet are just a bit wide. They look great, just like the picture. Comes with red laces and tan laces.
