A lightweight, high quality cotton. I normally get waist 31 if available, but these must run small because I got another short (QuikSilver) in same size that fit like a dream, but these were very tight. Suggest going up 1 or 2 sizes - I ended up with a 33 that work well. Really nice more form-fitting lightweight short without much or any baggy.

Officially my favorite pair of shorts! I ordered the waist 31 (I'm 5'6", approximately 145 lbs) and it sits fine on my waist and ends just under my knee, unlike the Zappos model on whom it looks a bit shorter. I would recommend one or even two sizes up as it is a bit tighter than I expected, especially around the thigh area. The best thing about these shorts is the cotton - lightweight but strong and super comfortable. I'm definitely going to order the other colors in this edition. Overall great everyday shorts.

First of all, I have to commend Zappos for their excellent communication and super fast shipping. I received these in the mail within two days of ordering. Thanks, Zappos! Now, as for the shoes: I bought these Chucks as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. He is a big fan. The leather is comfortable and supple, and a lot more practical in our rainy climate than canvas (the boyfriend had a canvas pair of Jack Purcells that he wore into the ground before I gave him this pair). They look good too!
