This is a good looking boot and seems reasonably comfortable. However, there are a couple of issues that I've had. First, my usual size in Born is 9.5. In this boot, a 9.5 was too big, and a 9 fit me perfectly, even with thick socks on, so think about sizing down a half size. My feet are on the narrow side--I wear a B width, but used to wear AA, so a little narrow. The size 9 fits perfectly in length, but is quite snug across the foot and looks pretty narrow. I'm feeling a little bit of a pinch right at the widest part of my foot on both boots, but it feels like that will stretch out with a little time. So if you have a wider foot and if this boot comes in a wider width, you should probably get a wider size. Otherwise, so far I like it and am a big fan of Born boots.

This is a really great looking boot, but it has a bit of a heel to it. I was purchasing it in hopes of replacing another stylish, waterproof Clark's boot I have with too much heel. If you are looking for a flat boot, this will not fit the bill!

Very comfortable boot for my narrow foot. I ordered an 8M, I usually wear an 8 1/2 AA. They feel so good on the bottom of my foot with the "wave" styling, but I am unsure if I will keep them as they rub my right ankle bone. I will try some heavier socks to see if this helps, if not, I will sadly return them. I would definitely try this boot if you are in the market for a pair of hiking boots.

I found these narrow in the toe and a bit tight in the arch. As background, I normally need a Wide width in Clarks to accommodate the wide ball of my foot, but unfortunately a Clarks Wide is often too wide for my heel. As for length, I usually take a 7.5 in my usual brands (Born, Indigo by Clarks, Brooks, Keen, Sofft, La Canadienne), occasionally an 8, but I'm finding I often take a 7 Wide in Clarks (for example this season's Wave.Trek), at least when the ankle fits. Again here, the length was definitely a 7 for me, but unfortunately the toe too narrow. I am sad to send them back as the leather looks lovely and good quality. The laces add cuteness.

The Wave boots were much wider than the Wave sandals that I have purchased previously. The boots really look like hiking boots. In other words, you can only wear the boots for athletic pursuits. The boots are not stylish enough for casual wear.

I'm disappointed with these boots. As a previous reviewer stated the ankle section of these boots do not offer any support and are very uncomfortable. I have to fold over my socks a few times around my ankles to prevent rubbing and irritation. They are narrow across the widest part of the foot. The leather tends to get ashy white or grey. The leather is not very durable, very easy to scratch. The rubber around the bottom of the boots acts as if it's a magnet for dirt and sand particles. The only positive part of these boots is the cushioned foot-bed. The only reason why I won't return them is because I wore them. I will only wear these boots if it snows.
