I love, love LOVE this boot!!! They have not come off since I received them about a week ago. They look great with leggings and skirts and look fantastic with jeans. I have about a 16.5 calf, and these boots work for me. The tongue is wide enough to really loosen up the tops. I wear them over thick leggings with nice mid-weight socks just fine. I have not tried them over jeans, but I'm not super keen on that look anyway. My only complaint, and it's a minor one, for me anyway, is that when I walk on graveled trails, and I do often, I can feel the gravel under my feet. I think that's due to the soles being so flexible. The snow has not hit yet, so I can't attest to how waterproof they are. But I have no doubt they will keep me cozy and dry when it dose.

Way more narrow cut than you'd expect on a Keen product. If you are a medium, order a wide!

Great boots, got them the day before a ski trip. Wore them on the plane and then the whole week and they are so comfortable. I have a narrow foot and they fit me perfect.

This boot really does it all. I wasn't thrilled with the quilted look at the top, but otherwise they are really cute, and so comfy. They look good with skinny jeans tucked in, and aren't too high so can be worn with bootcut jeans. The laces give the perfect fit, then zip in/out easily. The best part is that I needed casual boots that can also go sleeding with the kids. These boots did that and more. Just took them on a winter weekend to vermont. Looked great the whole time and kept me warm/dry in snow and neg temps. Plus, went snow hiking and sleeding in them and they kept me warm and dry, even after a couple of mis-steps into slush. And they still look like they came out of the box after a full weekend of wear and tear. I've never been happier with a pair of shoes! Everyone kept asking me about them.

I absolutely love these boots! It did take three tries to get the correct size as the first two felt tight and I knew that I would want warm socks with them. The next half size up felt a little large, but tightening the lace-up did the trick. I love everything about them. I love the olive color, the side zip, the lace-up for my fickle feet. I usually wear a 9½, but in these the 10½ fits me perfectly. Zappos makes the delivery fast and returns so easy.

Love this boot! I purchased the olive color, and it's sort of a green/gray color. Very versatile color. Very comfortable. I first wore them with the insole that came with the shoe and agree with another reviewer who said you can feel the gravel under your feet. Later, I was fitted for orthotics and I no longer have the same issue. With orthotics or without, the shoe is comfortable and cozy, fleece lined, laces help adjust to calf size and a zipper so you don't have to mess with the laces once you have the shaft adjusted to your calves. Wear under jeans or with leggings. Not the best arch support, but if you need orthotics it shouldn't be an issue. Tempted to purchase the boots in the brown, too! Typically wear a 9.5 in all Keen shoes, and that's what size worked for me in these boots.

I just received this boot and I love it. Fit is snug but very comfortable (ordered my usual size 10). Quality appears to be excellent. To compare, I also ordered the Teva Tonolea and Teva Vero but both of those are going back. The Keen looks much nicer on the foot.

I wanted a shoe that I could wear in cold weather comfortably outdoors and indoors for a long period of time. I love the feel of Keen Balboa which I can wear all day. I wear a 9 in Nike or Puma, and an 8.5 in Keen sandals gives me plenty of wiggle room. In the boot, with the lining, the 8.5 seems to fit exactly, with no extra room (wearing socks). The sole of this boot is exactly the same size as the sandals. I've worn them twice, they seem very comfortable and warm (although I'm still in Los Angeles, not traveling to the Midwest as I will). My only complaint is that they aren't the light golden brown shown in the photo, they are more of a mocha brown.

I find these to be very comfortable boots. I bought them for walking the dog in NYC during the winter but honestly I will wear them when out and about. I haven't even been wearing full socks just anklets and my feet are warm. All in all a great purchase!
