I am 5'7.5" with a swimmer's frame. I ordered the S & M sizes and returned the M because it was too big. In flats this dress is still a bit long, but in heels at a wedding, I received a lot of compliments. It was extremely comfortable, but was easy to dress up with the right
jewelry,
shoes, and make-up. I could also see myself wearing the dress at home or on any casual day. I didn't have any problems with the shoulders, but as I mentioned, I have swimmer's shoulders. I would recommend this dress, however since I normally where dresses in an 8 size, this might not work out for a more petite/narrow woman.

I bought the dress last week. First, very impressed when I ordered the night before, I did have it the next day. I wore it to my school's play and I received many compliments. The dress is gorgeous and I didn't have any problems with the way it draped. I would recommend the dress. It's beautiful.

I love this dress! Like others have mentioned the waistband is a bit awkward, but if you add a wide belt it looks fantastic! You can definitely dress it up or down and it looks great either way!

I just received this dress, and already it is going back. It's a shame, too, because this is one comfortable dress! It looks great from the bust and up. The shoulders drape beautifully -- the neckline is great. Where this dress goes wrong is the waist band. I feel like the pattern for the waist band's construction is faulty. It doesn't give the silhouette enough definition -- I can see why other reviewers think the back seems to just "tent out." It looks nice on from the front, but the side view is not flattering and the back view is not flattering. It's not easy finding maxi dresses with draped shoulders (love that look), so I really wanted this one to work out. The only way I think this dress would be flattering from all angles is if you order a smaller size and you happen to have a very perky and prominent derriere, which will help give the silhouette of this dress more shape; unfortunately, my behind is not that shapely, so it just won't work for me.

This dress is so pretty from the front, but the back drapes in a weird tenting fashion. The band in the back doesn't sit against the body, it just tents out. Very strange.

This appears to be a beautiful dress but fits terribly on the waistband. Impossible to fit right the way it was constructed. From the side you have no waist and the sleeves slip back...odd fit!

Looks beautiful. But horrible fit, it could be a great dress if they would tighten it around the waist and not let it just hang. So sad so return it.
