Ever since
Clarks moved their manufacturing from England to China, in my opinion the quality has gone way downhill. I've been wearing
Clarks for more than 20 years and never had an issue before, but now I find that the same sizes that fit me before, in the same styles, are now too tight. This is the fifth pair of Sunbeats I've owned, easily the most comfortable sandals I've ever worn in my life. But now the straps are too short in this style, where before I could comfortably extend the straps to the last notch and still have them fit into the buckles. Now they stick straight out. Is
Clarks saving a bundle on the 1/4" of leather it would take to make these straps fit into their buckles? I hope so, because they're fast losing a loyal customer in me. I'm going to try a size larger in this style, and if they don't fit me like a glove - the way
Clarks used to fit - they're going straight back and I'm swearing off the
Clarks brand for good.
