Gorgeous boot! I don't know why people are saying they are hard to pull on, they have tabs inside for boot pulls that make it very easy to get them pulled on. They stand up if they fit snugly around the calf. These boots are good for people with smaller calves. Very comfortable.

I was so excited to get these boots and just like all my other Fryes, these were even better than their picture! The heel is just the right size for city walking, the leather is buttery soft. I have skinny calves and the boots look great on them, just right with jeans. I ordered the Sand color and was happily surprised that it's a bit darker than the photo.
Will say, the boots are a devil to get on! I would recommend skinny legs and hose rather than socks. Once on, you won't want to take them off! Another gorgeous pair of Fryes, I wouldn't wear anything else!

A gorgeous well-made boot. This boot is loose around the ankle area and tends to increasingly slouch with movement. Very soft leather.

These boots are the most beautiful color. I had to put them on as soon as I got them.
They leather is high quality, as you can expect from
Frye, and they are so comfortable. They are going to go so well with spring dresses, and you can pretty much wear them year-round.
Great purchase and the price was right on. And, Zappos shipped these to me in a DAY!

The Rory is practical boot - it looks great scrunched down or pulled up. The boots look great with dresses, skirts, and pants. They can be dressy or casual. I have skinny calves (14 inches around) and the Rory is one of few boots that don't look really wide on my legs (when the boots are pulled up). The Rory also has room for my toes and the ball of my foot. I first got the Rory Scrunch Boot in black, and then ordered in tan. The tan leather has more structure in it, while the black leather is very soft. Others have written that the boot is hard to get into and I agree - the black boot was hard to get on. However, the tan boots were no problem. I have tried on lots of
Frye boots and
shoes recently, and have found the
Frye sizing to be consistent. I wear a size 9 to a size 10 generally. In all
Frye boots and
shoes, I am a 9.5.

I love these boots; they are the perfect color BUT are very hard to get on. I had to order a 1/2 size larger than my normal shoe size just to get them on. Once on they are a little big for me, but I had to make sacrifices in order to
keep them. My normal size 8.5 were great once on, but were virtually impossible to get on since there isn't a zipper. They are beautiful though.

I love these boots! I bought mine a year ago - at which time I was unsure if splurging on the price was worth it. After a year of wear, mine have held up beautifully and they are by far the most comfortable boots ever! The leather is buttery soft and the quality is extraordinary. Make sure to condition the leather periodically - if you don't, the leather won't look as beautiful and supple. My only complaint about these boots is that they are truly slouch boots - when you have them on, they do not look the way they do in the picture. Mine are so slouchy that they are
almost short boots, which is not always the look I want with skirts. However, they stay "tall" if you wear them over jeans. Some reviewers complained that these are hard to get on - they're
almost like putting a pair of stretch boots on, so you have to wiggle your foot and ankle around and know that they aren't slide-on boots. Be gentle with the leather and be patient when putting them on! It's helpful to hold the boot by the ankle part to work your foot into the base.
Frye boots also tend to run large; however, I went with my usual size, so there is a little extra wiggle room in the foot. They are worth the price, the minor difficulty to get on, and the quality means that these will last for years to come!

The sand vintage leather color is darker than it appears in the picture. It is more of a light/medium brown color. Also, it runs big. I am normally a 7 and I need a 6 in this boot. Otherwise, very cute and comfortable.

I finally found the perfect boots! I have extremely skinny calves, and most boots look really stupid on my leg, as if I'm a little girl playing dress up. It bugs me that you can search (on Zappos and many other sites) for "wide calf" boots, but you cannot search for "thin calf" ones. Not fair. Anyway, these are ideal. The only trouble is getting them on the first time. If you have a high instep, it ain't easy. The light tan color is gorgeous. The do "scrunch" a little bit, but not a lot, so they look great on the leg with tights and a skirt. Also, get a half size smaller than your normal in Fryes, I find. I'm in heaven. At last.

I absolutely LOVE this boot...and would love to order it! But, unfortunately it is out of stock in my size.
I recently ordered the Jane Stitch, and the calf circumference was huge. Had to return them. I have small calves and it makes it nearly impossible to find boots that fit properly.
I wish
Frye, and other companies, would make more boots with narrow calf measurements. Please! There are so many boots I love (especially
Frye), but I just can't wear them because the calf is way too big. Please make more Rory boots!!!
