I live in the Pacific Northwest and needed a new winter jacket to use up in the mountains (where it is very, very cold!). Decided to try this one since I know Mountain Hardwear is a good quality brand. I am totally thrilled with it! I've only had it for about a week, but have taken it out into the cold and snow several times already and it's perfect. It fits well and is tailored in a flattering way, but the small is not too small for me (I'm 5'10", about 140 pounds with a long torso, so I worried it might not be long enough). In fact, there is a decent amount of room still for more layers underneath. It kept me very warm right off the bat, but unzipping the pit zips helped keep me ventilated so I didn't completely bake inside. The liner is also very nice to wear by itself as a sweatshirt substitute. The liner has elastic around the wrists which is nice when wearing it under the shell, as it helps keep warmth in even more. The hood is also a nice size, not too small and not weirdly shaped. It also detaches if you don't want to deal with it. There aren't a ton of pockets, and if you have the liner zipped in there aren't any that are accessible on the inside (there are a couple in the shell but the liner covers it while zipped in). Anyways, I am more than pleased with this coat. I highly recommend it! And as it's on sale currently, it's an even better deal.
