I really like this shoe for trail running. Looks a little goofy (the toe's a bit bulbous) but since I'm running alone in the forest, style's hardly an issue. I love how soft & flexible the suede feels. Very lightweight shoe, as well. I find my feet can really hug the trails and adjust quickly to uneven/unstable substrate.

I currently have the mesh NB Minimus WO20 from a year ago, love them. These feel short and overall too narrow in both the 9 & 9.5 I had ordered & tried. The toe box felt smaller than it should be. Your toes are supposed to be able to splay, that seems to be one of many purposes for a barefoot/minimal shoe running. These definitely don't allow for full movement in that regard. My toes felt restricted. Sending back.

Love, love, love this shoe. I have a very difficult time finding shoes that fit my feet, and these fit like they were made for me. So light and flexible, you can hardly tell you're wearing shoes at all!

Wow! These shoes are awesome. Very lightweight with surprising support. I bought them for casual wear, so I don't know about using them for workouts. I want more New Balance Minimus in lots of colors!

These shoes are amazing! My feet were getting sore after working (as a nurse) with regular tennis shoes, so I was looking for something new. I have high arches and I was worried that I wouldn't get enough support with something "minimal" like these, which offer little support. But my feet are doing much better! And they're cute - I've gotten many compliments. Excellent shoes!

The first thing I did with these shoes was get lost in the woods and have to navigate around a lake while wading through its shores. Needless to say I thought I had ruined these relatively minimalistic shoes. After drying out these shoes have really served me well. I am a backpacker and I am really hard on my shoes. I have put around 200 miles on these shoes and the tread is still there. I've had them since June and just yesterday I went for an early November hike in the snow with them. They pretty much were soaked after 5 hours but they are still performing well. Love the New Balance minimus line. Wish I didn't go through them as fast but I wouldn't trade that barely-there feel. Not for everyone but definitely for me.

These have become my new favorite hiking shoes. They are comfortable from the first day -- no hot spots or places in need of breaking in. And they provide all the support needed for long walks or steep hikes, over all sorts of terrain. The arches aren't overbuilt like a lot of hiking boots, and I didn't find the lack of ankle support a problem since my foot was so much more able to grip and respond to variations on the ground. Ordered a half-size larger than I wear usually and it fit perfectly, with just a bit of extra room for my feet to spread out.

This item needed review clarification. Firstly: I have a normal width foot. Like to wear Vibram soles without socks and no Vibram soles with (thin) socks. I wear a 9.5 across the board with these 2 but have found if I want to wear socks things change. I have all the Minimus runs: WT 20V~most comfortable/Vibram soles, WT10 (which fits a bit tighter than 20 in the toe box)/Vibram soles, WT20 which does not have Vibram soles/runs VERY narrow~had to 1/2 size up and order a wide to wear socks, and lastly W730V1~also no vibram soles~widest toe box~ordered 1/2 size up to wear with socks but probably could wear a 9.5. So dissapointed with this shoe and the review by "Cherie" obviously unclear whether the shoe runs large or small. Zappos was only given a limited amount of each size so there were no 9.5's. Ordered a 10~these are heavy suede and water resistant. Given the fit of all my other Vibram sole NB 10 should have been a good fit with socks. Though these seem very similar to the WT20V design they are pretty big. Can't get away with socks because there is way more heel slip because of the suede hard material. Other than fit/great nice looking Minimus shoe.

I have this shoe in two other colors because I like it so much. It does run a little big, I normally wear a 7 1/2 and ordered an 8 based on other reviews which were correct. The toe box is roomy, but I also wear cushioned socked for working out. I use these shoes in TRX, and cross-fit, and cross training. There's enough support for box-jumping, etc., without thick soles.

Love these shoes, glad I bought them. They are lightweight and flexible. Not quite as "barefoot" as I hoped, but they are better for me than most traditional shoes. I get a barefoot experience without all the comments and questions I get with Vibram Five Fingers. I ordered a 7.5 and an 8 since I like to wear socks, kept the 7.5 as it fit better, the laces do a good job of adjusting to different sock thicknesses although there is some room in the heel. I wouldn't recommend not wearing socks with these shoes, however, it seems like it'd get slimey with use. The fit is also a little wide compared to traditional shoes, but that's so your feet can flex as you walk, not a design flaw. Overall, it's a good shoe, I'm quite happy.
