Absolutely unbelievable service! We first became acquainted with Zappos when my brother-in-law and his wife bought two pairs of Uggs
for our twin daughters; to make a long story short, we ended up needing to replace the boots because of manufacturer default, all while our daughters decided they would prefer different Uggs
, which by the way, were considerably more expensive. We called Zappos and asked to 1. replace the defective boots, and 2. to upgrade to more expensive "models" - we offered from the beginning to pay the price difference. Not only that exchanging was not a problem (new ones would be send out the same day, before we even had a chance to send back the old ones), but they said that since these boots were a gift, they would cover the additional cost, which were not trivial (about $40-$50 per pair). Unbelievable! I made countless online purchases over the years, but never even heard of, much less experienced, anything like that! I am a college professor (teaching business) and so I even described that experience in my class as a rare example of a company going over and above what is expected, service-wise. Needless to say, when I needed running sneakers, I went to Zappos. Shoes
are as good as advertised, and price was really good as well! Great company!
