Absolutely unbelievable service! We first became acquainted with Zappos when my brother-in-law and his wife bought two pairs of
Uggs for our twin daughters; to make a long story short, we ended up needing to replace the boots because of manufacturer default, all while our daughters decided they would prefer different
Uggs, which by the way, were considerably more expensive. We called Zappos and asked to 1. replace the defective boots, and 2. to upgrade to more expensive "models" - we offered from the beginning to pay the price difference. Not only that exchanging was not a problem (new ones would be send out the same day, before we even had a chance to send back the old ones), but they said that since these boots were a gift, they would cover the additional cost, which were not trivial (about $40-$50 per pair). Unbelievable! I made countless online purchases over the years, but never even heard of, much less experienced, anything like that! I am a college professor (teaching business) and so I even described that experience in my class as a rare example of a company going over and above what is expected, service-wise. Needless to say, when I needed running sneakers, I went to Zappos.
Shoes are as good as advertised, and price was really good as well! Great company!
