I purchased this jacket as a replacement after my son's first TNF coat this year managed to become ripped and had to be sent in for repair. My 6 year old likes this jacket a lot. The inner jacket is similar to a "puffer" jacket in style but not overly bulky (which he loves). I like the styling of the inner jacket: I think he looks really cute in it. I don't care for the outer jacket's style as much. I dislike all the white on it and the weird outline on the chest pocket purely from a style standpoint but my husband likes to remind me, it's a coat so I shouldn't be so picky. The outer jacket is made out of a heavier material than the "
Atlas" and seems like it would stand up to the outdoors a little better (The "
Atlas" was the first jacket I bought him this winter and it managed to get a tear in it after just a few wears so extra durability is a plus). This is very similar from a durability standpoint as my TNF snowboarding jacket so I have high hopes. My husband is in the military and we
split our time between our home station of Virginia Beach, VA (usually about 40 degrees in the winter) and Chicago, IL (burrrr) and I love the versatility of TNF triclimate jackets, the system really works well for us!
