Back in the '60s, we never took off our hiking boots. It didn't matter if we were cruising the Rockies or the strip. I'm pretty sure we even slept in them. Our boots were hot and heavy, but not in that free love kind of way. In fact you couldn't feel the love at all. Teva Forge is the newer than new generation of hiking boot. It is so light yet supportive, so waterproof, so cushioned that you'll be tripping the light fantastic. Just don't forget to tie your laces.

I thought this boot was very nice looking. But, the heel was a big problem. First, it has a funny mesh part to it. Where that attaches to the boot, it rubbed on my heel. Secondly, the heel felt way to big and was slipping around. I will be returning these.

I ordered 1/2 size larger as is recommended for hiking boots and these fit beautifully! I bought them for a gorilla trek in Rwanda and like the fact that they are waterproof with a higher front tongue to keep the mud out. Great arch support that falls in just the right place under my foot and roomy toes without being loose. Usually high top hiking boots are uncomfortable at the ankle, but these are cut lower in the back/sides with a stretchy nylon shank for support. Much more comfortable than other (stiff) hiking boots!

These boots seem perfect, except that I ordered them a half size too small. (I wear a 10 or 10.5 or 11, depending on style, cut, etc. I ordered a 10 in these. They're so sold out of 10.5. So sad.) The design is nice. They feel light and springy for walking. I'd love to keep them - but my toe is touching the front of the shoe, which will be a problem when walking downhill, especially if I'm carrying a pack. I recommend this shoe for anyone looking for a light hiker, though. It's got some great features.
