I love these shoes. I will definitely be buying this brand again. The wide fit my wide foot perfectly, and it is so hard to find wide shoes with a modest heel (I need less than 2.75 inches) in wide widths. However, I hated the "tan" color. I wear winter colors (jewel tones, grays, black) and I was hoping it would be more of a nude. It has more olive in it. But I loved it so much that I got over my hesitation to wear black sandals (what can I say? I'm from the South) and ordered those instead. I hope they work out for me. I especially liked that the colors of the buckles are similar to the colors of the shoe. The only thing I didn't like is the way the heel looks. Instead of being centered under my heel, it's at the very back of the shoe. I think it gives it a modern, spacey look, but with my unusual shoe size I can't be too picky.

Returning these as the strap at the toes is set back too far. As a result, my foot slips forward too much to where I'm toes are in danger of gripping the shoe like eagle talons! Obviously, not a good look.

The Aetrex Essence brand is the most comfortable high heel you'll ever wear. I have little patience with uncomfortable shoes, so I rarely wore heels to work. Until I found these! I am able to wear them all day long. If I need to walk three blocks to eat lunch -- no problem! I can't say enough good things about these shoes.
