This is a great heeled sandal! Super comfy. I've never purchased 2 of anything, but I think I might get another pair in black! I normally wear 8.5 and the 8 fit just fine. Really, I think I could wear these shoes all day. The bottom sole is non-slip which a lot of current shoes have cheap molded plastic soles. The foot bed is also cushiony.

My feet are flat and fairly wide, so it is a challenge finding dress sandals that do not look stupid on my feet and and feel good. These do both. I absolutely love these sandals. Born is, I think, my new favorite brand of shoes. I cannot fault these sandals at all except that maybe after a while the leather will stretch and then it may be too loose. The heel strap / slingback on this one is not very snug and does not come up very high on the back of your heel, so if that bothers you, keep that in mind. But it does do the job of keeping your sandal in place. I think it could get away with not having as much elastic on the back, because it is not snug at all as it comes, and only allows for a couple more levels of adjustment tighter. So again, if it stretches or the elastic loses its elasticity and gets all stretched out. I wore these for several hours right off the bat and had no achiness or pinching or anything. They are superb shoes. The arch was in the right place for me, was not too flat or too severe. For the height of the heel, they do not feel very high when you have them on and the shoes are very stable due to the wide stacked heel and the amount of leather coverage on your foot. other shoes I tried were Clarks Trophy Place in brown (too narrow across the vamp and too loose heel strap, and I am not a fan of Velcro closures. But they have great style and construction and everything else), Born Karisa in the light brown (great fit, comfort, style, but just did not look right on me) and Earth Camellia in brown (too severe arch, and my foot bulged out strangely through the gap in the outer vamp, leather did not hug my feet but had gaps in places where it also bulged out away from my foot). I finally bit the bullet and tried the Born Frederique and am so glad that I did.

I was looking for a slightly retro sandal (circa 1970s) and these fit the bill. Extremely comfortable and stable but some great height on a cool, block heel. Great shoe!

Really comfy sandal with classic straps and a nice, chunky heel which I like cause I don't wobble. I wish it came in half sizes as the 8 is a half-click big (it seems to run a tad large), but I'm keeping it anyway cause it's a great walking sandal and I've had trouble finding this style with just the right amount of height. I would note that in person the brown colour is not quite as dark and rich as in the photo; I wish it did come in a truly rich dark reddish-brown but these are more of a flat shade between brown and tan.

These are lovely sandals. They are good looking with that sundress, but also very comfortable.

Just pulled them out of the box and they are amazing! The comfort level was higher than I expected. I have never worn a pair of sandles that didn't rub off my skin somewhere. I am looking forward to wearing them for extended hours to see how they feel. I am confident that they will not hurt my feet. I wear an 8 1/2 athletic shoe and I normally go down one size for open toed shoes. The shoe only comes in whole sizes, so I ordered the 7 & 8. The 8 was too big. The 7 hugged my feet but not too tight. I cannot handle wearing tight shoes. These are super comfy. I just ordered a pair in brown.

I just received these shoes in the brown color and am in love. I immediately ordered the black, I liked them so much. Why? Comfort and style. The footbed is so padded, I feel like I am walking on little pillows, yet the style of the shoe is "with it". The heel height is perfect -- not too low, not too narrow, not too clunky. Perfect, perfect, perfect. Oh, and Zappos' customer service? Incredible.

These sandals are extremely comfortable and stable. The footbed is slightly padded, and the arch is neither too high or too low. The straps at the toe box do not rub my pinkie toe like some. I wore them for 5 hours right out of the box without problem. I plan to wear them with jeans and casual dresses.

I have always been a fan of Born despite the fact that they do not go down to my size 5 1/2 feet. Thankfully their size 6 is just close enough to work. These were comfy from the moment I put them on and I am not one of those girls who wears heels all the time. I do have a large bridge to my feet (the top side of my foot over the arch) but the straps of the sandals allow for enough room. As with all my Born shoes the sole is very cushy and comfy and I love the stability of the wide stacked heel. Though wide and stable it never feels clunky. Only wish is that the leather were a bit darker. It is closer to tan but not quite so, think one shade darker but not espresso. Great shoes!!!

I am a true fan of Naots, and this shoe has the same qualities of style, comfort, and great craftsmanship. I think it runs true to size. The toe box is just right -- plenty of room, but not in excess. So far, I like these shoes with capri and long pants, and I think they will look good with long skirts as well.

I wore these sandals on the cobblestones in Rome and Florence and they were extremely comfortable. I have had good luck with almost all Naot shoes. Highly recommend you try these.

This is a great shoe! I bought a pair just before a trip to D.C. and only wore them once before the trip. They fit perfectly and were comfortable right out of the box, as a shoe should be. I have bunions and sometimes have difficulty finding a shoe that fits well and that is comfortable. Naot seems to be the best shoe for me. I was able to walk all day - miles and miles in these shoes. I highly recommend them.

Great shoe and good for the planet. Naot makes quality shoes well worth the price. This is my 5th pair within a year. Believe is from Naot's ecological friendly line of shoes. These shoes made with Mother Nature in mind (bet she'd like them, too). These shoes can be 100% recycled! But as with my other Naot shoes, they are super comfortable. These shoes seem to mold to the foot. They become your shoes! I teach high school and spend my day on my feet, on the other hand, I like to look stylish. Also, I can shop with confidence at Zappos because of the free delivery and free return!

Naot Shoes Are Well Worth the Price! (Think of all the shoes you've bought and never wear!) This is my 5th pair of Naot shoes and as with the other pairs, I was pleased with all my purchases. "Believe" is from the BE Collection -shoes that are envioronmentally friendly! (As if I needed another reason to buy shoes?) The entire process is creating these shoes is "green" - and the entire shoe can be recycled! But "Believe" shoes are super comfortable "out-of-the-box" wear and are extremely stylish. These cuties took me to The City - hills and all. I was on my (happy) feet all day. Naot shoes actually mold to your feet. Teaching high school keeps me up and moving - these shoes will be perfect. I ordered the brown (which is the NEW black) and I will wear them with everything from pants to skirts.

I wanted so much to like this shoe but in the end I had to send it back. I love the style of this shoe but I have wide feet and the cork insole was just not wide enough and too uncomfortable. It actually dug into my arches and caused a lot of pain. If you have a medium width shoe, I think it would be fine. Sadly, they had to go back.

This is one of the BE series from Naot, and while comfortable for wearing for short periods of time, I would not wear these for long walks or all day. They are not nearly as supportive as other Naot lines. They are very cute on the foot and I have received many compliments, but my heels hurt after wearing them half a day. Also, they run quite small.

Love these shoes. They’re comfortable, have some arch support, and don’t look clunky. You can wear them most of the year, as the toes are closed, but the back is strappy. They run true to size.

This is a lovely shoe. However, on my foot, it fit well on the left but not on the right. It seems that I may have one instep higher than the other and the cut in the front hurt badly on the higher instep foot. Otherwise, great casual style and fit well in all other respects. Darn! Am still looking for an open back with a strap that I can take with me for travel.
