I wanted to write a review for these shoes as there are none written yet. I know that I find reviews very helpful. I thought that these shoes looked like just what I wanted in ballet flats and I wasn't disappointed. I bought the bronze color and I am still not certain if they are leather or some kind of fabric. I checked with Nordstrom and were told that they are leather. Whatever they are made of, since I have seen them with my own eyes, I am not concerned about the sturdiness of them. They are beautifully constructed and I think that they will be pretty durable. The bronze is a very pretty subdued shimmer. I got them to wear with shorts and skirts but I know that I will be wearing them with jeans too. Since I haven't worn them yet, I can't say much about the comfort. They feel good on but with the soft, pliable sole I am not sure if they will have much support. I usually wear an 8.5 or a 9 and I have both sizes in other Donald Pliners. I seem to fit an 8.5 in most other brands. I ordered an 8.5 but they made my toes feel squished in and it felt as if they would rub the top of my foot. Out of desperation I could have worn that size. I ordered a 9 and they feel much better. They are not too large and my toes seem to be the right area. The toe of this shoe is stiffer that the rest of the shoe so that size difference did make a difference in comfort for me. The shoes are very pretty and they will go with a lot of outfits.

I wanted to update the review that I wrote earlier. I have worn my ballet flats several times now and I do find them to be comfortable and can wear them all day. I don't know yet about walking around all day in them. One tip for anyone that purchases these shoes - watch the beads on the end because they tend to fall off. I lost one of mine and was so disappointed. I called Zappos and the were fantastic and put me in contact with Donald Pliner via email and I had a replacement bead within a couple of days. I then loosened each bead (they are two part beads) and dabbed a bit of super glue on them. This is not normally something that I would do with a new pair of shoes but I did it because it doesn't show and because I could not part with these shoes. They are very pretty! So if you get these, maybe check the beads first and I would just put a little glue inside of the bead. I guess that this is a little bug that needs to be fixed with Donald Pliner. Other than that, these are the usual great quality of DP.

I loved the look/color of these shoes. However, the elastic rubbed on the back of my heel and made the shoes terribly uncomfortable. I tried wearing them around the house and I almost instantly blistered. Besides that, I noticed the bead on the end of the lace was missing. I have purchased several Donald Pliner shoes, but this pair is very disappointing. Have to send back.

These were great up until about the third time I wore them. They are comfortable and cute. After about three wears though, one of the metal logo caps fell off of each shoe. Now I have a hardly worn pair of expensive shoes that look totally stupid b/c pieces have fallen off. I am very disappointed.

Loved this shoe, so cute on! Unfortunately, it was a little to short. I wear a 7N. May return it for 7.5N. Don't hesitate to try it.
