Never in my life have I had such a problem with a pair of
shoes! First, I ordered a size 6.5 and a size 7 as I normally wear one of the two sizes in
Steve Madden shoes. They were both super small. These
shoes definitely run a full size smaller than marked. They are also a bit narrow. But they are so super cute that I had to try again. I've been looking for a pair of
shoes like these for years! Next, I ordered a 7.5 in both the black and tan suede. They fit well, though they are still a bit narrow in the toes. Nothing a bit of wear won't fix. The problem was, both left
shoes were defective! The tan pair had a big black spot on the outside of the platform, and the black shoe had a huge scratch in the suede all along the lower part of the platform, and a giant glue smear on the suede around the inner seam. In addition, both pairs were extremely worn where the toe box meets the platform. They even had what looked like dry flaky skin inside, like someone had been wearing them around their house for days. So again, I try once more because I need these
shoes, and have reordered both the black and tan in a 7.5. Thankfully, everyone at Zappos is super cool, and they're going to make sure this latest order is properly inspected. Shame on
Steve Madden for not properly inspecting them when they were made, but I still love my Zappos and always will.
