I debated between these and the
Ugg Vivica clogs and decided on these because of the synthetic heel which I thought would be lighter and more shock absorbent than real wood. I am happy with my choice. These look like real wood soles, and the overall aesthetic of these is great. From the top, the toe box looks more streamlined than many other clogs I tried, and the embellishments are nice details. The soles are cushioned, and the upper fits well. I usually wear a 6 1/2 in
shoes and ordered these in a 7 and am glad I did so. I think a 6 1/2 would cause my heel to be at the very
end of the footbed. As it is in the 7 (brand new so not sure if this will change as the leather stretches) there is just a 1/4" between my heel and the
end of the footbed, which I think is perfect for me to have the option of wearing socks with these in the fall. I do think the
shoes feel, overall, a little higher than I expected, probably due to the platform design and the fact that the toe part doesn't lay flat on the
ground in the very front, but its' such a sturdy heel, and the
sole has some flex to it, so I don't feel like I'm going to totter over. I like these so much I am going to look for them in black!
