I love my new Transit Jacket. I live in New England and was looking for a warm jacket that wasn't too heavy and bulky. I had ordered the longer version, the Metropolis, but I felt for my 5'2" and 160lb body... it made me look too much like the Michelin man. This jacket suits my frame nicely and is very warm. It's 24 degrees here today and I am wearing it without layers. Very true to size, may even run just a tad big.

I really like this jacket - it's lightweight, warm, relatively fitted and the brown color is a nice rich change to typical black. The jacket is so warm. I tried it on indoors with just a t-shirt on and needed to take it off shortly after. It's also incredibly lightweight. I'm rather petite (5'1", 95 lbs.) and got the XS. It's a little big, but I don't get overwhelmed by the size, as I do with a good bulk of winter jackets. The length is perfect for me - it just covers my butt but doesn't go down too low. It's fairly slim in the chest too, which is nice, and it's not too wide on the bottom. The hood is detachable. I got the brunette brown color and though it's shiny in the picture, it's duller in person. It still has some shine to it, though. Overall a steal at this price!

I've been looking for a long time for the perfect all around jacket. This one is it. It fits nice and snug around the waist without being tight, the sleeves taper to the wrist, it's beautifully made and I love the classy color. It's warm as can be, covers my bum and looks great with jeans. Thank you, North Face and Zappos always rocks.

I am tall (6 ft) and thin. North Face usually has pretty long sleeves. I got extra-large so I can add multiple layers. Style and color are great. I don't like to buy jackets online but took a chance on this one. Zappos had it delivered the next day. Awesome service.

Perfect jacket for a cold winter. Brown color is gorgeous. Fabric is not as shiny as it looks in the photo. Jacket is just long enough and looks great with pants. A bit of shedding during the first few wears but not too much. This is my third North Face jacket - I love their products.

Loved the style loved the graphite color and seemed to be super warm. I am a small in North Face but this runs big and I needed the xs. Bottom was still too wide for me, 5'4" 115lbs, and no draw adjustment and no sleeve cuffs for cold NYC wind also feathers/down coming out of the seam from brand new. I decided to return for
Marmot empire jacket.

I love this jacket. I also tried the longer one but it was too long for me (I am 5'2"). I purchased the medium (I weigh 135). It has enough room to wear it over a suit to work and even looks cute with a skirt and tights and boots since it is a little longer on me. The arms are a bit long for me but I roll them under (and they stay). The only negative is that this material causes a lot of static in my hair and some of the feathers do poke through. However, I can live with that because the jacket is cute and doesn't make me look puffy (it has some shape).

This coat is really nice and warm. I ordered the brown one and I was really impressed with the price. I looked on
the North Face website and the same coat was priced higher. Zappos rocks -- great next day service.
