I've been coveting these boots for the last few years and decided to go for it when I saw that they were on sale. They fit like a dream and make me feel like a million bucks. I'm sure that they'll wear well and they seem very comfortable to get around in.

This is a nice, attractive book but is very wide through the calf, especially at the top of the boot. If you have thin calves, this boot may be too wide.

These boots are very
hip and stylish. A little tight in the calves for about two days of wearing now perfect. Be careful though: Despite the non-skid
sole, I felt shaky traction on certain types of marble/tile floors.

These boots are adorable & my foot felt extremely comfy in the footbed at least in the house. However these don't measure 16" & the elasticized panel is too narrow to help.

I've been wanting these boots for years & I finally splurged as a Christmas gift to myself this year. I am so happy I did. Even at a discounted price they are definitely an investment, but so far well worth it. They are comfortable enough to wear all day - cozy without making feet sweat & great support. And they really do the job in winter weather. I walked to the train this morning in a wind chill of -9 on icy alleys. My feet stayed warm & what I really love is how the Hovercraft tread works on ice...no slipping at all. Plus they look great - I get compliments every time I wear them. If you're on the fence about these I'd definitely say go ahead & get them...especially if you're like me & do a lot of urban walking & want boots that are functional & cute at the same time.

I have 15" calves and wear size 6, and these do not fit. Not even close. I measured them and they are definitely not 16". Maybe the larger sizes are 16". I was really looking forward to them too. They look like they would be very comfortable. Oh well. My search continues.

These are by far the most comfortable boots I have ever put on my feet. I wear a 6.5 in sandals and most
shoes. I ordered a 6.5 and they fit perfectly. They will be warm in cold weather. The traction is also superb. I originally ordered the karine style, but will be returning those. I am not a fan of the karine's quarter zip as it bunched funny. However, this boot has a full inside zipper which provides a much better fit. Love these
shoes.

These boots are too wide in the shaft for my narrow legs. Otherwise, a beautiful, comfortable tall boot, although on the plain side.

Great boot, fit is as expected. I usually wear 7 to 7.5, depending on brand. Ordered the 7 and fit really well. Only complaint is that the boot is so well insulated, the feet get too warm. I have muscular calves (runner, triathete), they measure 14.5 inches and the boots fit fine for tights but much else.

I have been looking for a simple, rounded toe black suede boot for some time now, either flat or with a slight wedge. I have a previous pair of La Canadiennes - the Mazy - which I always get compliments on - and so I tried several pairs of other La Canadiennes, but none would fit over my athletic (curvy? shapely?) calves - until now. I think I'm in love. This boot is waterproof, warm, the wedge does not feel high at all - I feel very comfortable on stairs, walking across marble, etc. Even better - it fits in the calf - my legs don't look like squeezed sausages with tights or stockings, and I can even slip skinny jeans underneath them. Zappos customer service was also amazing. So glad I purchased these - they are pricey, but they are sure to be a winter staple in the ice and snow, just as my other two pairs of La Canadiennes are - the Mazy for dresses and skirts, and my other short bootie La Canadiennes for pants. If you're looking for work or slightly more sophisticated boots that protect you from winter weather but don't scream "moonboots" - look no further. Ladies with slender calves take note: this may not be the right boot for you - but the majority of La Canadienne's offerings may please and surprise you (trust me, I've tried them). Thanks to Zappos for a lovely shopping experience!
