These were a gift to my Dad, a retired gentleman with a strict rule of only wearing slip-on
shoes in black. Per his feedback, the
shoes were exactly what I like... and very comfortable to walk in at extended periods of time (he has a post-retirement job that keeps him on his feet). He's an 8.5 Medium, which is what I ordered and he says they fit like a glove. Also, he reports that he received several compliments from co-workers on the spiffy look of the shoe. We live in separate states, so this is the extent of my personal knowledge of the shoe. Personally, I think the vid here doesn't make them look so hot with the fuller pant leg, since penny loafers were meant to be worn with straighter, even slim fit leg openings. Worn the way the model wears them in the video, most the
shoe's detail ends up cloaked beneath the pant leg. And typically older gentlemen will wear precisely that: A fuller pant leg. But I digress. Plus my dad's very happy with them. Do with that what you will. My ratings are based on his opinion, not mine.
