I ordered half a size up, because they run small. My daughter has a narrow foot and her measured size was just on the short side with this style.

These are great shoes for growing feet. They are very pliable. My daughter tends to run a little narrow in the foot and these will adjust and stay on her feet. I love the lift out insole that helps me tell if they are the right size!

Cute and almost suitable for gym! Comfortable for all day wear. True to size. Stride Rite always seems accurately sized and fits my daughter well. Tried many similar but others are stiff or uncomfortable.

These are very good school shoes. I wish the toe was a bit more scuff proof. They have a great fit and as always great Stride Rite quality.

My granddaughter loves these shoes which is the only reason that I haven't sent them back. They are lightweight and go well with her uniform but in only 2 weeks into school, the stitching starting coming out. This is the first time I've been disappointed in Stride Rite.

Second pair for school. Love these Stride Rite shoes for fit and comfort. Little break-in needed.

I love the look and fit of this shoe, and my daughter finds it very comfortable. However, after only wearing them one time, the shiny part at the tip of the toe is all scratched up, making them look old already. I am so disappointed because I love everything else about this shoe, but she will have to just use them as play shoes now. Not what i was hoping to use them for considering the price I paid.

A beautiful shoe, but runs narrow. A WW was too narrow (tight on my upper foot) and I can usually wear W. Too bad.

This shoe has a black rubber sole which rubbed off all over my carpet which had to be cleaned. Not good! Returned shoe because of that.

These shoes are amazingly comfortable. There is 1/2" of cushion inside and they feel like bedroom slippers. The heels make the shoe look fairly dressy, but the platform and cushioned sole make for a very small heel. My heel is very narrow and I may use a little moleskin as a heel cushion is too big. I ordered them in black as well and they will be my every day winter shoes. The only criticism is the heels are hard and make noise on wooden floors so I may have a shoemaker add a little rubber heel.

When I saw these shoes I thought great, exactly what I need. A good-looking, pump-style shoe suitable for walking around in this challenging Seattle-area climate. Feminine but with a somewhat rugged sole which I love on these wet sidewalks here in the NW, and a combination of mixed media materials of polyester and spandex in the body of the shoe to give it a modern look and provide a flexibility that other material does not offer – and can be cleaned off with a damp cloth when need be, plus built to SoftWalk high-standards – which means they wear like iron and last a long time. Last time I ordered a SoftWalk shoe it was the Dakota, which is about the same heel height as this Mendi– that time the size 8.5 N Dakota fit perfectly, so that’s what I ordered this time in the Mendi. But it did not fit nearly as well. The 8.5 N was too long, and my heel slipped out, so I monkeyed around with it a bit by first putting gel pads in and then tried a full-sole pad. Neither solved the problem. It just made for a tight fit overall and the heel still slipped. The thought of ordering an 8 N did occur to me but judging by the fit of the 8.5 N, I believed my heel would still slip out of the 8 N. Regretfully I returned the shoe. BTW, another review mentioned something about the black of the black rubber sole rubbing off all over her carpet and I just want to say that I have a light cream color carpet and walked on it in this shoe with absolutely no problem. Even ran the sole of the shoe over a white cotton blouse and over my white down comforter and guess what, nothing like that happened. Gave it 5 Stars overall because if the shoe fit, it would be a great choice.

The only fit problem is that it is very tight across the top and doesn't feel like it will stretch to accommodate my high instep. I'm also disappointed in the material. It all looks very inexpensive.

Love the look and was comfortable. The 10.5 was perfect fit for length and in heel - no slippage. Was VERY disappointed when decided to return due to width. Extremely narrow!
