I purchased these not knowing that they were the extra work out style shoes. I liked the style (and still do!) and have always found new balances to be exceptional. Some feel I spend too much on shoes, others I know pay more. These were a bargain compared to other sellers. Only risk was they were too small/large and would have to ship them back (no risk with Zappos' return policy!). However, after wearing these shoes for a while I can readily say that they are the best pair of shoes I've ever purchased. Blows my Nike Airmaxs out of the water, Reebok who?, and even my other New Balances pale in comparison. Buy this for yourself, buy this for a friend or a family member. Just buy these shoes!

Holy Mother of Pearl! I've had back problems for years, bought these and they have been amazing. I'm now a firm believer in New Balance and will be buying another pair. P.S. These are super awesome for work.

These provide a tremendous boost for my aging feet and legs. It is almost as if I am bouncing about rather than walking. I have worn New Balance for most of my life, but these walking shoes are a huge leap forward even in their technology. They are extremely light, cool and comfortable.

Very unique...feel a bit unsteady, which is the point of the design. Nicely vented for coolness. I like the inside as well. It feels snug on the foot.

Great shoe for someone who doesn't want much tread or weight. I tend to drag my feet and the shoe doesn't catch and trip me like most do.
