Though the shaft circumference says it's 16.5 inches, I was able to zip them over my beautiful 20 inch calves. Oh, it's tight, but I got them on. They are very beautiful looking boots.

They fit my ginormous calves! Hooray! And they are cute and comfy. I love these and can work in them all day without my feet hurting.

Size 8 has about 18.5" top. Rather strong alcohol type smell (much like a dry eraser smell) which I am assuming will fade quickly now that they are out of the plastic bag they were in.

I love these boots, but I had to return them because the top was slightly too big. Otherwise, I would have kept them!

These boots are INCREDIBLY adorable. I am so disappointed they don't fit. I highly recommend them as the shoe part itself is quite comfortable.

As cute as pictured! The wide calf really is wide. I probably have about an inch of space, but I don't mind, as that just means I can finally tuck jeans into my boots instead of busting the zipper just getting them on. They could use a little more padding in the ball of the foot, but nothing an insert can't fix.

Overall, I really like these boots. I'll start with the pros: Comfortable (I wore them for 9 hours and my feet were fine), fit my wide athletic size 16" calves and didn't make them feel like sausages stuffed into a package, the flare out at the top that gives the illusion you have a lot of room around your leg, and the slight bunching/rouched look. Cons: I'm not fond of the suede material, although it's really no fault of the boot; I just don't really like that type of material and wish there was a leather option. I also think they are slippery on the bottom. I could tell a difference when I would go from hardwood or carpet to tile; I had to adjust my stride to make sure I didn't slip and fall.

I had high hopes for these based on the reviewer who said she had 20" calves and were able to fit them. I have about 17.5" calves and they were tight to zip up. After finally doing so, it was slightly uncomfortable. I'm also disappointed that the heel isn't as high as I thought. I may
keep them because they may stretch. I haven't decided.

Calf was not big enough. The boot is not nearly as nice in person as on the web site.
