I really thought these were going to be it -- surely that rubber toe equaled indestructible?! Nope -- my savage son tore through these is in less than 2 months. He wore them all of 6 times in December and early January and they looked so handsome on him I couldn't have been more pleased. Also, they fit his wide-ish feet and high insteps with no problem & I never had to listen to him whine about not being comfortable. The best part was that they pulled on in 5 seconds flat because of the elastic sides and the loop on the back of the boot, a definite boon when you are always running late. I was smitten. However, once we let the beast wear them to school every day, they went to the pot in 3 weeks. The rubber has come off the toe on the left boot and the scuffs on both boots are irreparable. They look like the work boots of a man who works in quarry 40+ hours a week, not a boy who is on the playground for a max of 7 hours a week, including after-school. You know your kid -- does he ruin every single pair of
shoes he owns? Then he will ruin these too. If not, buy these! They are beautiful, comfortable, easy to wear boots and someone should enjoy them.

Just got these for my 3 1/2 year old. Seem true to size. He loves them. Pulls them on and off all by himself. They seem sturdy and well made, and they look great. It's only been a few weeks, but so far I'd recommend them.

My 2 year old son loves these boots and asks to wear them
almost every day, so clearly they are comfortable for him. I like them because he can wear them in inclement weather and not get his feet wet. However, the elastic on both sides of both
shoes started to unravel after 2 weeks. To the point that I had to take the boots to the shoe repair and have the elastic on one shoe replaced with new elastic. After 2 months, now the other elastic is unraveling and I will also have it replaced. Not happy to do this with boots at this price, but at least they are repairable and good enough quality to be worthy of repair.

I loved these but the
sole was destroyed on each of my two sons' pairs three months later. I thought these would be great for my
kids since they have a sneaker-like bottom and a cool, easy to pull-on leather boot. Like superhero boots for a modern kid! But my sons, neither of whom is unusually active, both wore the soles down to the mesh underneath within just a couple of months even though they didn't wear them every day. New York City sidewalks are tough, but I was surprised that a pair of boots wasn't up to the challenge.

These are the
shoes/boots my five year old son has on all the time! They are sturdy, easy on and off all by himself (without Velcro!) and mighty stylish with his preference for super skinny jeans. They are leather topped and lined, and the rubber traction heels are great for rugged terrain. We are so happy with them that these will be his third pair. I highly recommend them!

I love these boots! I got them for my 22 month old who is quite active. We live in the Northeast so I wanted something durable and warm, and a touch dressier than a sneaker or a Merrill slip-on. At first I had difficulty getting them on him since they just pull on, but now that he's worn them a bit (and I am used to taking them on and off), they're quite easy and I cannot imagine not having these. I would highly recommend!

I bought these boots for my six year old and my eight year old boys. Both are extremely active children that use these
shoes to run in as well as walk in. We live in NYC so we do a lot of foot traveling. I have to say so far (it's only been about six weeks or so), they have held up to my sons' wear and tear tactics. And they look really nice and are easy to slip on/off (which is great for my six year old). It was hard to get the right fit, so I ordered a few sizes, and they tend to run a bit loose/wide. My boys like them, and if they like them, I'm a happy
camper.

My son loves these boots. They are light and flexible and are tall enough to
keep dirt from getting in when he plays. We love the brown color. My son wears them
almost every day and they have worn well for us but we don't mind scuff marks or the elastic getting stretched out a bit. He's on his second pair and we've not experienced the soles wearing through or the elastic coming unravelled, though he mostly plays on dirt and grass instead of concrete and doesn't wear his
shoes inside our house or inside at school. They are our favorite
shoes we've tried.
