I wanted a bag that I could keep
all of my books in, as well as my 17.3" laptop, and my D-SLR camera. The bag itself feels great, it looks great, and it's comfortable. My D-SLR camera, with lens attached, fits in the bottom outside pocket, which really surprised me, as it is a small pocket, but not as small as it looks. The only problem with this backpack is that the designated laptop sleeve, located closest to the carrying straps on the back of the bag, doesn't fit a 17" laptop. The average 17" laptop's width is around 16" and the opening for the laptop is about 14"-15". This would fit a 17" Apple laptop, but not many others. The pocket is also too small to put the laptop in shorter-end
-first and then reposition it. I'm putting my laptop in the main compartment, and my books in the laptop sleeve. Overall, the bag is awesome, and switching the pocket-uses around is very minor. Only question would be, where is this "hidden front zipper pocket?" It appears to be so well-hidden that it doesn't actually exist.
