I got these in the seafoam/white because they're so different. I had a similar pair of
Vans years ago in highschool and remember them being super comfortable. Then I grew out of them. Though I haven't seen much color in
Vans Old Skool
shoes since, and then I saw these which have that same styling and feel. When I got them I noticed the seam that goes across the toes was tight. But just on the seam, the suede around it felt fine. So I'm assuming it was from the lack of elasticity in the stitching. I wore them around my apartment to make sure I wanted to
keep them because the seams felt so tight to the point where it
almost hurt. Call me crazy, but I kept them despite that description and hoped that the suede would allow them to stretch. Luckily, they feel much better now and I'm glad I kept them. I'm a girl, by the way, and wear a size 10.5 in
women's Vans. In
men's sizing I got these in a size 9. I feel they're true to size, but I wish that seam had been wider from the beginning. I currently own four pairs of
Vans, and have owned two others in the past. I haven't skated since I was about 15 or 16, so
almost 10 years, but I'll still buy
Vans because they're so comfortable and have really great styles and colors.
