My 11 year-old son loves this jacket. It is lightweight, but warm and cool enough for school. He waits at the bus stop in the morning and is fine with a t-shirt, light fleece and this jacket. When we first got it, the jacket was a little stiff, but has loosened after a few wearings. He is about 4'6" and weighs 90 pounds and it fits him perfectly - we will likely only get one season out of it.
