I bought these in both brown and black for my mom. She loves them and is very picky. I looked at all boots in this category and to me this was the best by far. This finely tailored shoe with no visible hardware outshines the big buckles. I had to get the black in a 9.5 and the brown in 9. She just received the 9.5 and said it fits great with a little room. She said the 9 will be fine too just with a thinner sock. I will update when she receives the 2nd pair. My mom's feet are on the border between narrow and medium so we always get medium and she said these were perfect in width which means they are on the narrow side of medium.

Beautifully made boot, terrific quality. It\'s unfortunate that it\'s not available in a wider size, because the wide is more medium than wide.

I love Smartwool socks. I wouldn't wear anything else. These socks are my everyday sock and I bought some extras for family.

Very soft and warm, even though they were lightweight. I would not have wanted them any thicker as they fit with all shoes nicely.

I'm a very active person. I hunt Chukar so I spend a lot of time walking up and down tough terrain. These socks are very soft and feel great but perform horribly. I find my feet sliding around in my shoes which create friction. My shoes are a perfect fit, my 5th or 6th pair. I feel like my feet are swimming in my shoes, slipping and sliding. If you're strolling on flat land…then maybe.

These are definitely the most comfortable socks you will ever own! The light weight are great for regular shoes and the heavy weights are the best for boots. These babies really wick away the moisture from your feet, so they are comfortable even in hot weather. A great investment for over-used, tired feet; and Zappos service is second to none!
