I absolutely love the way they look: good for more work-like attire, but also with jeans tucked in. I had a hard time, though, finding the right size. I normally wear a 7, but this was too small, a 7.5 is a bit too big. But with insoles and one of those gel heel cushions, they work just fine. (The heel is a bit wide).

This is my first pair of Frye boots. I like the inside zipper on these boots. It makes getting them on and off so much easier! They aren't the perfect fit; my toes are squished and my heel is loose. But I liked the classy look and decided to keep them. I hope that the leather looses up and I can break them in. Overall, I'm pleased with these, especially since I bought them on sale.

I love these boots. The only problem I've noticed, is the zipper gets stuck at the seam. I was torn on returning them, but I have been looking for boots for so long, and these are otherwise perfect for me, so, I've decided to keep them.

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. I just got these yesterday and wore them last night to dinner. The compliments came pouring in. The leather is so buttery and soft. I need to break them in a bit, but that won't be a problem because they'll go with so much!

I finally found a stylish riding boot that works for me. I am only 4' 11" tall, but have large calves for my size. I saw these Frye boots in a shop and fell in love with them, but they were expensive and they didn't have my size. I tried ordering online, and returning at a cost, a few other pairs of boots because they didn't fit, until I found these on Zappos.com on sale, with no shipping charges! What a find. They are still a bit big for my foot, but with inserts they work. I've gotten many compliments.

Finally! I have been on a quest for the "perfect" boot - ask my fiance. I have two other pairs of Frye boots, and tried others with no luck. I realized part of my problem is that I need more shape in the calf/ankle part of my boots - to flatter my curves and not make my lower half look too "heavy". These boots do just that. The inside zip doesn't actually shape as close to the ankle as I'd like - still a little baggy, but better than non-zip Fryes. It makes the boot a little dressier, and the simple buckle at the top is all the embellishment I need. The boot is a little narrow, and will take some breaking in, but like all Fryes is comfortable. I'm 5'10 with hips and love this boot. Now to decide if I like the dark brown or if the charcoal black is more my style.

I have been looking for the perfect black riding boot for years and thought I had found it when I pulled this out of the box. Gorgeous! Unfortunately they squeeze the ball of my foot and toes. I have another pair of Fryes so know how they fit and these feel narrow to me and I do not think they will stretch enough to be comfortable so regretfully I am returning these beauties.

These shoes run big! Otherwise I would have kept them. Great quality, nice sleek toe and fitted top. More polished looking than other Fryes.

I really loved the style of these boots and couldn't wait for them to arrive. When I tried them on the heel was too wide and slipped up and down, so I tried them with a heavier sock and no luck. The length of the boot and height of the shaft were excellent, but I could not wear them, due to the heel. The boot is a good quality and the sale price was a great buy for Frye boots. Needless to say I am disappointed, and will have to keep looking for a simple classic knee high boot.

Love these boots...the second year purchasing them for my son. They are great for walking about or hitting the snow...totally waterproof and nice and roomy for his wide-ish foot. Merrell's are worth the money...beautifully made.

I bought these boots for my 9 year old daughter to wear on her Girl Scout Camping trip in May. She is slim, and her feet are as well, so sometimes it's hard to find a good fit. We (she gave the thumbs up or down on the look) ordered several pairs of boots in differing styles and sizes for her to try on the week before the trip. The Merrell's were not too heavy, and seemed well made. The fit seemed on target. She wore them all weekend and didn't complain once about pressure spots or any other issues. So I think we got a winner. She will also wear them into the fall and winter on rainy days and when snow comes. We were able to return the other shoes to Zappos. What could have been a stressful shopping experience running around to different stores and trying on different shoes became very simple and stress free with Zappos free shipping both ways and easy returns. Thanks!

My son loves these shoes. We bought them for a vacation that included wet weather in Seattle and snowy weather in Colorado. They were the only shoes my 8 year old traveled with, and they worked very well!

We live in Wyoming and were looking for a pair of shoes to serve as both snow boots and regular winter shoes for our 2 year old. These shoes were a great choice! We were pleased with the fit and the quality, and the shoes are truly waterproof.

My son need some warm shoes for the winter weather on a trip. These worked great and he had no complaints. He didn't even have to wear them in or anything and walked a lot in them.

Great boots for my 9 year old. Once again Zappos comes thru in the clutch! Needed these for a campout that was less than a week away and couldn\'t find his size anywhere else. I now have officially used Zappos for every member of my household. Fit is as expected and with the recent cold snap will get him thru the mild Arkansas winter.
