Excellent jacket! I live in Fairbanks, Alaska and this keeps me warm. It's so lightweight I forget I'm wearing it. 5 stars for sure. The only negative is that the shell fabric is very thin (which makes it so lightweight), so you have to be kinda careful with it. I wouldn't haul wood in this jacket! But I've had mine for a while and no rips yet, so it's not a huge problem just something to note.

This is my first Patagonia purchase and I absolutely love this jacket. Have gotten a few compliments on it already! Very warm without being too bulky.

I ordered the matte black jacket since black is my favorite color. The large fits perfect - 5' 8'' and 155 lbs. It is as light as a goose feather, nice details like ribbon trim, many, many pockets lined with fleece and zippers. Also, a hood that actually fits. I love the length as I have a shorter body and it doesn't ride up when I lift my arms. The style is very cool- not at all "parka-ish." It suits my casual blue jean style. I tried it on indoors and had to take it off: it is so warm. I am actually looking forward to next week's below freezing temps! All I need is a cabin in the woods! BTW, thank you Zappos for wonderful customer service, esp helping me choose the correct size. Oh, cannot forget to praise your faster than superman shipping...WOW!

Very warm, very lightweight and stylish in a no-nonsense way. (This is not a coat you buy to look cute, you buy it to stay warm!) I wanted a serious down parka for New England winters. The only drawback is that it doesn't have a gortex type coating for wind and rain, so you couldn't really wear it skiing . But it's so lightweight and comfy you barely feel you have it on. I bought the black, which was lot cheaper than the other colors. It's a matte black, almost dark gray.

Absolutely amazing jacket! I ordered sizes Small and Medium as I didn't know which size would fit best and enable a sweater underneath and a thermal base layer. Small fitted fine for my 5'6" 135lbs frame. I usually buy winter coats for fashion and always end up borrowing my husbands Patagonia Jackets because I am freezing in Winter Climates. Might add, I was ultra surprised how light this jacket is and am amazed that it can scrunch up for a nice pillow in transit. The best surprise was the Plum/Pink inside the Forge Grey color.... Was not expecting that and it was an added bonus as most fashions this season are grey and plums! Wonderful technology from Patagonia, can't wait to wear it in a blizzard - Thanks Zappos for always having a huge variety and excellent customer service. :)

Thought I'd order this jacket since it is 800 down fill which is more than any other down jacket out there so I figured a bit warmer than the 600-700 fills. Was a bit skeptical about potential Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man look. The jacket arrived and it is light as a feather. It feels like it will be very warm. It IS a bit on the puffy side, but the fact of the matter is that all down jackets are a bit so to a greater or lesser extent and this one isn't too terribly puffy. I like the fact that the back is longer than the front for extra cold coverage, but I would have liked the front just a smidge longer as well. The hood fits well - no to gape-ey, so it will work when I forget my hat. It is a pricey jacket but I think worth it. Puffy but still fairly cute.

I love this jacket. I have the brilliant green color, and it is definitely super green! The color shown in the Zappos picture is a little bit lighter than in real life. The patagonia website shows a more accurate picture of the jacket, if you are curious. I really love the green, but I wish there wasn't so much of the plum color on the inside. It's definitely not a jacket you wear if you are into looking stylish, but it works with my own outdoorsy style just fine. Overall, the jacket is super warm and comfortable. The small fits me with plenty of room to spare (I could probably smuggle animals or small people under this thing), but I think if I sized down the arms might be too short on my monkey arms. I'm 5'6" and 110 pounds with wide shoulders and a small chest for reference. I can't wait to see how it holds up outside! Also, I ordered this jacket at like 8 PM one day and had it on my doorstep the very next day by noon. Zappos is awesome!

I ordered this and returned it for the Rubicon jacket. I ordered a medium in this jacket (way too large and boxy - I am 5'6", 115 pounds). The medium of the Rubicon is correct, I would need a small in this jacket. It did have a nice, soft feel to it, and I think it would have been a fine jacket in a smaller size. The Rubicon is slightly less puffy and warmer (that seems like a contradiction, but that is how it struck me). This jacket is probably more packable and better for hiking etc. I get cold, spend time in the snow, and wanted the warmest option.

Very cute. The heel is pretty high. They are just like some that I had in the 80s. They look great with skinny pants. I had to order a half size up.
