I'm a bit of a Frye addict as this is the only brand that always fits me well through the leg and calf. Still, I was a little worried about Ava Tall because there is no zipper and I was looking for a slimmer, dressier boot. I tell you, I squealed when I put them on! They are absolutely stunning and very flattering. Of course, the quality is exactly what I have come to expect from Frye. Another reviewer stated that the leather was thin. True, it is not the same thick leather you'd find in a rugged boot like the Harness or Campus but is instead a softer variety as one would expect in a dress boot. I am a size 9.5 to 10, but always order a 9 in the Campus or Harness (or other styles with a larger toe box). I bought a 9.5 in this style (and in the Fiona 3-ring) and they fit me perfectly.

This boot, while gorgeous, will not last! It is very soft leather and I have had mine two weeks and already have scuffs and scratches that cannot be properly repaired. I’d suggest you go with another boot.
