This is a very nice looking shoe. My son has wide feet, so we almost always have to order shoes to get what we want. This shoe ran narrow in the wide.

These are fantastic -- my then-14-month old was darned near running in them from the moment he first wore them. They're not as flexible as Robeez Tredz, but the sole has more traction and is still quite bendy. The leather has no rub points, and the padding on the heel has prevented any issues there. FYI - We bought them in brown. While the photo looked like they'd be a mid-to-dark nubuck, they were actually regular dark brown smooth leather.

I love Stride Rite, so now that my second son has outgrown his Robeez (and started walking last week) that was the brand I went to. Thing is, he still has chubby thick baby feet, and I couldn't get his toes past the buckle/opening. The instep on this shoe is very short--I think it would be great for an older child, with flatter feet, but I had to send these back in a size 5.
