Nice but too pricey - I liked this sandal, it was comfortable, and the rubber on the heel gave a firm grip to prevent sliding. It was attractive enough to wear with skirts and dresses as well as dress up jeans or slacks. What I didn't like was the price. I chose a "Softspots" brand sandal instead which was just as comfortable, not quite as heel-steady, but worth the difference in price for me. I found that in these expensive shoes my normal width size 7 foot wear a 6.5.

A great dress shoe! I have a wide thick foot and it is extremely hard to find COMFORTABLE dress shoes. Helle has outdone themselves with this shoe. Not only do I love the adjustable straps, the shoe is cute and dressy!

Very cute stylish comfort shoe! Very comfortable, perfect size heel and cute also! I wanted these to dress up my feet a bit and still be comfortable and stylish! They do the job to a "T"!

Wow! What great shoes! I was a little scared when I ordered them, but once they arrived, I was thrilled. I would describe them as a metallic black color...which as one reviewer said basically goes with everything. The color just adds a little pizzazz rather then wearing a rather dull, common black shoe. Of course, if you dislike metallics, then these shoes aren't for you. They aren't obnoxiously metallic, but they are a little shiny. I just love them. As for comfort, they are the most comfortable heeled shoes I've ever tried on. Granted, I would not walk a few miles in these shoes, but I couldn't do that in any shoes with 2 1/2 inch heels. For a heeled shoe, I don't think you can get much more comfortable. There is great padding in the forefoot and a nice arch support...which may or may not hit your arch exactly in the right place...but it is there and is much better then nothing. This is my first pair of Helle Comforts but I will definitely be getting more. Very worth the price.

Shiny, shiny, shiny. Clearly I am the only person not entranced with these shoes, but I feel obligated to remind potential buyers: Read The Description!!! I didn't read closely enough and thus passed over the "shiny chrome heel design" part, although the "fabulous" part was certainly truth in advertising. This shoe is VERY shiny, everywhere. The bronze, which looks fairly low-key in the picture, is all but iridescent and the heel *and* entire sole is made of molded sliver-ish plastic. Having had enough of that in my Ziggy Stardust days, I promptly put them back in the box for return. I'm sure they're as comfortable as people say, but buyer beware - you have to be up for an entire shiny plastic sole for this to work for you. Too bad, as they really looked fine otherwise...but the shine factor was a big shock. In looking at other Helle shoes, many seem to have that design, so I guess it's part of their shtick. Didn't work at all for me, though. Thanks, Zappos, for the easy return!

Wow, I stepped into these shoes and my feet shouted Happy Happy! They are soooooo comfy. Having said that, they are also made very well and I expect to wear them for many years. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a great walking shoe! Thank you Red Wing!

I have just received these shoes and I love them already. They were completely comfortable when I first put them on, an extraordinarily rare event for me. I like the simple, straightforward design. I will be able to wear them both with jeans and with work slacks, so I foresee that they will be a real staple of my shoe wardrobe. I'm very happy that I ordered them.

No comfort for my feet - My feet must differ from those who wrote comments about excellent comfort. There is no comfort for me. These shoes feel stiff and cardboard-like. The leather does not feel supple. The soles do not provide any cushioning support. The look is great and sizing is not the main issue. It is the comfort factor. Rating of 2 stars is being generous. So, they are being returned and I'll look for something else.

Zappos saved me! My shoes were worn out - holes in the soles. I'm living in a new city and the shoe stores I tried either didn't carry my size or didn't understand a woman who needed to have comfortable shoes. I found these shoes at Zappos but was unsure so I called and talked them over. They arrived in less that 24 hours and are PERFECT!

So comfortable! I was looking for an all black shoe, but this one is brownish and is working. Easy walking shoe.
