Soft Walk LaPalma -
When I purchase
shoes on line, I always read the reviews - one thing I wish the author would state is the size they ordered and specifics about their feet - as I feel
shoes fit differently on people with wide vs. narrow feet. Consequently - I will do just that. I ordered this shoe in an 11N - my normal size. I have a pair of Soft Walks in the 'Adora' and love them. I thought I would love this shoe, too. My right foot was reasonably happy in the shoe (my left foot is slightly larger) but my left foot was not. I noticed a review for another pair of SoftWalks that said there is not enough depth in the toe box of the shoe. That is exactly the problem with this shoe. My left foot is just enough larger that it shoved the toe too far forward and was cramped. It also pinched my little toe on that foot. It's possible that with time, the shoe would stretch out and be better, but at the price of these
shoes, I wasn't willing to risk it so I am returning them. I don't believe a larger or wider size would help - especially since the right one fit reasonably well. Anything larger or wider would have slipped on my heel. It is also very true that you cannot wear SoftWalks without a lightweight sock or stocking - they are just not designed to be worn without some sort of foot covering. If you can get the right size and get them to fit, though - they are a fabulous feeling shoe - the air pockets are wonderful, but they do take a bit of adjustment getting used to them. Looks wise - I thought they were a bit ungainly looking - but in a size 11 what do you really expect???

Made my toes numb!
I really liked the look of this shoe but it was so tight in the toes. My toes actually went numb after a few minutes of wear. Also, although I ordered a narrow, it was still big in the heel. The inside of the shoe was great though, very cushy. I wish they would have fit!

Comfy -
I have very wide feet with a high instep. Finding comfortable
shoes is a chore. And being a recently diagnosed diabetic, shoe comfort is even more important. But I'm young and insist I can still wear cute
shoes! These
shoes are great. The top, outside edge of the heel rubbed my heel/ankle a bit when I wore without socks, so I'll continue to use thin trouser socks until I'm sure they're worn soft.

Great for short, wide foot with high instep. No break-in period. Comfortable right away.

Too wide in the toe area -
I realize most of the reviews said this shoe felt true to width, but I have a very, very narrow foot. My foot slid around in the toe area while walking on the cobblestones of Paris and I got a blister on the entire font half of the underside of my foot. They are very comfortable otherwise, just stay off of cobblestone. I agree with the person who says you HAVE to wear a sock with them or the egg-crate bothers a little, although with a sock on it's very comfortable. I like the look and may try the newer styles.

La Palma Review -
I was generally well pleased with this shoe. It looks great. My only complaint is the soft inner sole takes up more room than most
shoes so one foot is a little snug; however, the next 1/2 size up would have been too big. Overall, though, I'm well-pleased with it.

Squeaky!
This shoe felt great, fit very well, but I'm returning it because the insole/sole squeaks. I think it's due to the nature of the material in the insole. I have other
SoftWalk shoes and they don't make a sound. I'm disappointed because it was a great shoe otherwise.

A Perfect Work Shoe -
I had a shoe of this type before and loved it to death. I purchased a like product but the quality was much less. I Googled for wide width
shoes and found Zappos and these
shoes! I am so pleased to be able to look forward to a school year with not only a black pair of these comfortable
shoes, but a khaki pair too! The floors in the school are an epoxy product and when they get wet, you go flying. I have a difficult time finding comfortable
shoes (heel spurs and knee problems) - these
shoes are very comfortable and safe to wear at work. I'll be visiting Zappos often. What's more, they were shipped immediately and they meant immediately! My only caution is that I wear size 7 1/2 to 8 and my big toe is right at the end of this shoe.

Thank you , Thank you, Thank you -
I have had surgeries (4) on my right foot I could not find a shoe to wear except
New Balance sneakers. ugh. Yes the "egg crate" insole is different a little powder on the sole of the foot before putting on the shoe would solve the ladies problem. I cannot believe I finally found a pair of
shoes and Thank you to Zappos customer service for understanding my frustrations and yet immediate need for a pair of
shoes for a job interview. Next will be for dancing.

Not what I expected.
They show you a picture and try to explain the egg-crate insole but it still wasn't what I expected. Although the insole in total is soft, I don't like that egg-crate part. I have to wear some type of sock or stocking with this shoe because if I don't that egg-crate thing suctions to my foot and it is uncomfortable. If I were a sock or stocking it doesn't suction to my foot but it is still an texture under my foot. Maybe I just need to get used to it but I sometimes avoid wearing these
shoes because of that insole. Also because I have to wear socks/stockings, the look (way it's made) of the shoe shows more much sock/stocking than I would like.
