THE H.S.TRASK STORY

Sometime ago on a cool, crisp October day, the idea of making shoes from American Bison leather was conceived by Harrison Trask during a day of fly fishing near his home in Montana. A devoted fly fisherman, Harrison had spent the day casting toward rising trout on the Madison River. Late that day, as he stood waist deep in the river, he noticed a large herd of Buffalo grazing along the bank. A footwear executive of over 30 years, Mr. Trask wondered, “Why have I never seen shoes made from Buffalo leather?” Mr. Trask discovered that hundreds of commercial Bison ranches existed throughout the U.S., and that ample supplies of Bison leather was available. He also learned that this leather had a unique quality he’d never seen before… it was soft and mellow, yet wore like iron. TM Soon, the H.S.Trask brand, dedicated to old-fashion quality and comfort, was born in Harrison’s ranch home in Bozeman, Montana. Today, H.S.Trask footwear is made from America’s Original Leathers TM- Bison, Elk and Longhorn, and can be found only at the finest footwear retailers.

Who wears Trask Shoes?
Since Trask makes only dress casual shoes, our customers are able to wear our shoes for dress casual occasion along with a sport coat, a sweater or even a tie. You will also see our customer wear our shoes with his khakis, cords or his favorite jeans.

What sizes are available?
H.S.Trask offers half sizes from 7 to 12 and whole sizes above 12 to 15. Our widths are expressed by N= Narrow (B width), M=Medium (D width), W=Wide (EE width)

H.S. TRASK EXTENDED WEAR PROGRAM
Simply send us your shoes when the tread wears thin and we will completely refurbish your shoes and replace the soles, all for $65.00. This includes: Replacement of worn soles, relasting of uppers to maintain fit, restore and recondition uppers, restitching of uppers and insole replacement (if necessary). We’ll replace the laces, deodorize, hand polish, and return them to your doorstep. Every pair of shoes has a post card with details of the program inside each box.

CONSTRUCTION
- All shoes have a cushion orthotic built in
- Tie shoes have DRI-LEX (wicking) in vamp lining, Poron (breathable,order control fabric) in the midsole, High abrasion outsoles
- Loafers, are genuine handsewn, leather/rubber unit outsole, rubber heel
